




Lead Packaging Designer
Position Overview
The Lead Packaging Designer will be responsible for creating innovative and functional packaging solutions that enhance product presentation for our eCommerce client's flagship private label brand. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop packaging concepts that align with brand strategies and sustainability goals.
This is a full time direct hire position requiring 5 days onsite per week in Bellevue, WA. There is no flexibility to work in a hybrid or remote capacity
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of packaging solutions for new and existing products.
- Collaborate with marketing, product development, and production teams to ensure packaging meets brand and functional requirements.
- Conduct research on packaging trends and materials to innovate and optimize designs.
- Oversee prototypes and production runs to ensure quality and consistency in packaging outputs.
- Manage multiple packaging projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers in the packaging team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Packaging Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Experience building packaging design systems for consumer brand from scratch.
- Strong design skills with a passion for contemporary brands.
- Portfolio showcasing at least 3 multi-component projects that demonstrate dedication to high-quality creative work, strategic vision, concept development, and production excellence.
- Experience partnering with technical packaging teams for packaging design implementation.
- Proven experience in packaging design with a strong portfolio showcasing innovative packaging solutions.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong understanding of production processes and materials used in packaging.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work on multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Fluency in print and digital production design
