Summary
This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing, within the Quality Engineering Division. As a General Engineer, you will develop engineering improvement strategies to enhance the overall quality of products produced at BEP facilities.
Duties
As a General Engineer, you will:
- Serve as a consultant and expert advisor to Bureau components' efforts to continually improve their engineering and manufacturing quality performance.
- Formulate and maintain engineering and related quality standards that conform to customer requirements.
- Ensure deliverable products meet customer requirements.
- Work collaboratively with manufacturing and other technical components to implement engineering quality improvement projects.
- Develop, implement, and document standard operating procedures.

Specialized experience for the GS-13 is one year of experience at the GS-12 level or equivalent in other public or private sectors, that is directly related to the position as listed in this announcement and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. - Investigating, analyzing, and correcting adverse quality trends or conditions.
Specialized experience for the GS-12 is one year of experience at the GS-11 level or equivalent in other public or private sectors, that is directly related to the position as listed in this announcement and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience is defined as:

- Collaborating with other professionals on efforts to improve engineering and manufacturing quality performance.
