Who We Are:
Our section performs sustainment, systems engineering, structural design, analysis, test, and repair for many different aircraft and aerospace vehicles. This include structural integrity and airworthiness assessments and management. The part of the section working on site at Hill AFB, Utah provides direct support to our USAF customers. The candidate will be tasked with operational safety, suitability, and effectiveness (OSS&E), manage and maintain the airworthiness and safety of flight for military and commercial derivative military aircraft. Alternate work location is Tinker AFB, Oklahoma.
Objectives of this Role:
- Knowledge of professional aerospace engineering concepts, principles, practices, standards, methods, techniques, materials, and equipment to effectively apply advanced engineering theories, principles, and concepts to project development, execution, and advisory services.
- Functions as the organization's technical expert in design and development engineering for critical systems and subsystems.
- Strong communication and leadership are key.
- Knowledge of wide range of multidisciplinary engineering concepts, principles, practices, standards, techniques, materials, equipment, and systems of engineering to achieve and preserve operational safety, suitability, and effectiveness (OSS&E) in system or end-items.
- Represents the client, including functional counterparts, and other industry partners. Recommends new/improved engineering policy and processes to ensure technical integrity.
- Defends position in boards established to resolve engineering problems and implement technical decisions.
- Produces desired systems engineering results, in the needed timeframe, with the appropriate level of supervision through the use of appropriate knowledge, skills, abilities, and understanding of the technical requirements of the job.
