National Grid is hiring an Associate Engineer, Gas Planning and Design Engineering for our NY Gas Distribution Engineering department in Brightwaters, NY.

Job Purpose

Responsible for assisting in the engineering, design and technical oversight during construction of projects relating to the gas distribution network.

Key Accountabilities

* Process GIS gas map requests for 3rd parties

* Establish and maintain relationships internally in a team environment as well as externally with all parties including municipal stakeholders.

* Adopt corporate safety culture and incorporate safety process and procedures into project portfolio

* Assist in job work package compilation the project coordination, engineering design process

* Actively engage on sight in project management of the gas design project during construction phase.

Qualifications

* Bachelors degree in an Engineering discipline, Science, or Project Management

* Understanding of utility construction industry standards, regulations and contract terms

* Valid driver's license required

Salary

$89k - $105k a year
