Commercial Physical Damage Subrogation Specialist - Remote

We are actively hiring for a Commercial Physical Damage Subrogation Specialist!
Your Role: Responsible for reviewing adverse subrogation demands, settling diminished value claims and responding to adverse carrier arbitrations within their designated authority level. Works within significant limits and authority on assignments of higher technical complexity and coordination; handles multiple claims, evaluation of auto & motorcycle damage, negotiation of car damage estimates, negotiation of diminished value claims and out of state losses.
Your work:
• Reviews and evaluates previously approved estimates from adverse carriers
• Independently evaluates, negotiates and settles physical damage and total loss claims along with other suffixes (i.e. loss of use, property damage)
• Negotiates and settles Diminution of Value claims with third party claimant or their attorney
• Process payments appropriately and review with supervision beyond settlement authority
• Respond to arbitrations that are filed by adverse carriers regarding physical damage
Required Experience, Education and Skills
• High School Diploma or GED
• To serve as a physical damage arbitrator, with a minimum of three years of claims adjusting experience is required
• Depending on assignment, may be required to obtain and maintain Adjuster and/or Appraiser license (state-specific)
• Insurance Adjuster License and/or Insurance Appraiser License depending on state
• Possesses demonstrated technical knowledge and skills reflective of successful progression through job family levels, inclusive of auto-body repair practices and procedures
• Strong and effective negotiation skills strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Basic math and working computer skills with technical aptitude to utilize a variety of software applications
• Good alternative ways to prepare and defend arbitrations
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a flexible, changing environment
• Ability to work independently, be self-motivated and goal oriented
• Proficient in ability to write estimates in computerized estimating systems
• Knowledge of auto repair estimates and various estimating systems

• 1+ year physical damage experience
• BS/BA or equivalent combination of education and experienceAdjusters license, and may be required by state

The national average hourly rate range of $30.03 - $33.37. However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on county of residence. The full hourly rate range for this position across all the states we hire in is $27.04 - $40.05.This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 7% of eligible pay.
