Position: Systems Performance Engineer
Location:Walnut Creek, CA, USA 94598
30 Month Contract
Description:
Targeted Years of Experience: 5-7 years
The engineer will be primarily responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing the network for new C band turn-ups. This will involve:
- Analyzing the capacity and performance of new C band turn-ups for 4G/5G mobility and Home devices.
- Identifying sites with poor performance for Home devices, troubleshooting root causes, and optimizing sites for both coverage and capacity to improve the 5G Home experience.
- Reviewing reports related to Quality of Experience Scores for the network, Customer, and FWA.
- Recommending ways to improve these scores by analyzing network performance and capacity trends.
- Analyzing the impact of new C band turn-ups on these scores.
- Collaborating with market engineers to optimize clusters, including new C band turn-ups in their markets.
- Collect and use hourly and daily service measurement data to optimize the LTE network.
- Represent the team for feature-related projects, new node integration, and other centralized tasks by meeting deliverables and holding other parties accountable per project plan.
- Troubleshoot hardware and performance problems independently or by coordinating with other teams.
- Support Network Performance in evaluating and improving areas of poor coverage by identifying system performance problems.
- Report issues to appropriate engineers.
- Resolve customer service issues, assist in implementing solutions, and collect drive test data in support of performance evaluations and build program prioritization.
