JOB SUMMARY
This position supports the Securities Operations unit for the Wealth Management business. This includes supporting manager in managing teams, especially in times when manager is absent, overseeing specific vendors or vendor processing, participating in projects as assigned, and performing specifically assigned operations processes. This position may also interact with different areas of Wealth Management to discuss operational processes, gaps, or assist in client meetings as requested.

This role can be remote.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  • Assist in the creation of procedures and work flows as required. Procedures will ensure delivery of the highest quality of operational excellence while meeting compliance rules and mitigating risk.
  • Manage selected vendor processes that have been outsourced that perform securities related work including compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Work with relationship managers, investment teammates, and others to develop solutions for clients or resolve operational inefficiencies when requested.
  • Participates in projects, conversions and system testing as requested.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Securities Operations for processes assigned.
  • Respond to or review answers for Requests for Proposals (RFPs) as requested.
  • Meet with external investment managers and others as requested to discuss processes, process errors, new asset types, etc.
  • Stay current on trends, new asset types, business, etc. in order to properly maintain up-to-date processes especially in area of responsibility.
  • Interface with internal compliance and risk management partners on matters related to the department.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related training.
  • Five or more years of Private Wealth Management experience.
  • High level of knowledge of securities operations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with members of Securities Operations and other units within Wealth.
  • Ability to make decisions independent of manager.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong problem solving ability.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business related field
  • Certification as a Certified Trust Operations Specialist or equivalent.
  • Some project management skills.
  • Knowledge of some facets of Private Wealth Management including account administration, investments, risk, or regulatory framework.
