OVERVIEW
Georgia Power is seeking a creative Video Producer/Editor to join our in-house photo-video team. In this role you’ll plan and execute dynamic video content for use on internal and external communication channels.
The Video Producer/Editor is responsible for managing all aspects of visual storytelling– from idea conception to delivery of the final product. Demonstrated expertise in all phases of video production (pre-production, production and post-production) is critical and experience with videography is strongly preferred.
The ideal candidate should have experience creating video content that showcases or explains complex material in a relatable way with a focus on strong storytelling. They must possess strong editorial judgement, script writing, video editing, and project management abilities. Candidates should be able to perform well in a collaborative, fast paced environment while balancing multiple long-term and short-term projects, often simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Photo/Video Team Lead to deliver high quality, accurate and channel-appropriate content with a strong focus on storytelling, creativity and maintaining brand look and feel.
- Produce, edit and shoot video content including but not limited to campaign videos, social media creatives, executive messages, tutorial videos & Sizzle reels.
- Write scripts that reflect key messages, business priorities & brand voice.
- Perform video shooting and editing functions including weaving elements of the message together for effective storytelling
- Manage stakeholder expectations and utilize workflow tools to ensure projects are delivered on-time and within budget and quality standard
- Lead production crews (videography, lighting, grips) and direct professional and non-professional talent
- Assist in managing team equipment and stay on top of trends and new technology/software in the film/video industry
- Assist in operating video, lighting and audio equipment for studio and live events
- Serve as an active participant in department crisis communications preparations and activities (storms, emergencies, etc)
Skills and knowledge required
- Proficiency with Adobe CC Suite (Premiere Pro & After Effects)
- Superior written and oral communication capability
- Ability to manage and prioritize a high-volume of tasks
- Demonstrated ability to accurately plan, manage and meet project budgets.
- Must be organized and detail oriented with ability to apply quality control practices to all projects
- Ability to effectively and professionally collaborate and interact with team peers, clients, interdepartmental colleagues and high-level executives
- Proficiency with studio and live video, audio and lighting equipment
- Proficiency with multiple camera platforms preferred
- Ability to adapt to a variety of visual styles and platforms

This position has been identified as a role that will require the use of a Georgia Power fleet vehicle. The following will be required if you are selected for this position:
- Must have at least one year of verifiable driving experience (Must hold a valid driver’s license for the class vehicle to be operated. Driving permits are not typically considered a valid driver’s license).
- Must have no revocation of driving privileges within the 36 months prior to application, no convictions of major traffic violations (DUI, hit and run, reckless driving, etc.) within the 12 months prior to application, or any pending charges for a major traffic violation at the time of application.
- Must consent to a continuous monitoring of your Motor Vehicle Record
