Technical Designer

Position Overview
Our Apparel Design client is seeking a Technical Designer to their team for a quick turn project. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed technical designs and drawings that meet product specifications. This role is essential in bridging the gap between design and production, ensuring that our products are both aesthetically pleasing and functional.

Duration: 2 weeks - 1 month 
Location: onsite, NYC 

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain technical drawings and specifications for products.
• Develop and manage tech packs that clearly communicate design intent and technical details.
• Collaborate with designers to translate concepts into actionable technical designs.
• Work closely with production teams to ensure accurate sample production based on technical specifications.
• Review construction methods and materials to optimize product functionality and cost.
• Provide support in the development of print and color way selections, ensuring consistency with brand standards.
• Collect and organize reference images to assist in the design and production processes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Technical Designer or similar role in the fashion/apparel industry.
• Strong skills in sketching and creating technical drawings.
• Proficiency in creating and managing tech packs.
• Familiarity with sample production processes and techniques.
• Knowledge of print and color way development.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
