Supervisor Warehouse Distribution Operations Supervisor II – Ammonia
Where will you work: Tampa Marine Terminal (4873 Port Sutton Road | Tampa, FL 33619). Our Warehouse Distribution Operations Supervisors enjoy a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.
Are you ready to take on a dynamic leadership role in warehouse distribution? We're looking for a Warehouse Distribution Operations Supervisor II to join our team! In this role, you'll oversee operations and maintenance activities, ensuring smooth and continuous operations at our Central Florida Anhydrous Ammonia Terminals. You'll act as a key liaison between our Facility and Supply Chain departments, manage operations crews, lead training, safety meetings, and step in for the Operations Manager when needed. Additionally, you'll lead a team of operating mechanics, terminal operators, a terminal crew lead and assist with change management process and capital projects.
What you’ll do:
Provide work direction to the team
Manage performance issues
Develop and coach employees in order to retain and grow organizational talent
Oversee operations activities for inbound and outbound shipments of anhydrous ammonia
Assign preventive maintenance work orders
Conduct monthly safety tailgates and review all incident or near miss reports with employees
Develop and implement process improvements and capital projects
Manage training requirements for all employees and contractors
Serve as element owner for Mosaic Management System elements
Attend external meetings with Port partners and response agencies
What you’ll need:
HS/GED with 10 years of operational experience
Experience operating and maintaining industrial equipment
Experience planning and executing improvement projects
Operations experience
Supervising/Team leadership experience
Working Knowledge of applicable Maritime regulations and requirements
Ability to lead teams effectively and train/develop the skills of their team members
Proficiency with MS Office Suite and general computer literacy
Bonus point if you have the following:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, management, or related field and 5+ years operational experience
Experience managing projects in the $1M range
Superior knowledge of industrial systems and equipment
Hazardous chemical or process chemical experience
Process Safety Management experience
