What you’ll do:

• Manage and lead a team of Compounding Technicians
• Set clear, specific productivity and quality expectations
• Comply with USP <795>, <797> and <800>, as applicable to position. Assist PIC and support staff selecting drugs from stock for dispensing and compounding preparations.
• Provide regular feedback to PIC.
• Identify and recommend improvements to formulations.
• Maintain the highest level of quality.
• Apply mathematical operations to various pharmacy functions.
• Maintain accurate records.
• Knowledge of pharmacy equipment and supplies.
• Supervise technicians and support personnel. Develop team members through formal coaching and individualized and targeted feedback
• Ensure patient and company information remains confidential
• Adhere to all applicable company policies and state/federal regulations
• Collaborate interdepartmentally to provide, or ask for, assistance regarding compounding or staffing as dictated by business needs.
• Responsible for ensuring all applicable laws, regulations, and standard operating procedures are adhered to within the department.

Who you are:

• Proven ability to lead by example, communicate with and motivate team members.
• Ability to monitor and obtain compliance with organizations policies and expectations

What you’ve done:

• Graduate of accredited school of pharmacy and licensed in good standing with the California State Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacist.
• 2 years experience managing the efforts of others in a pharmacy lab setting
• 2-5 years of compounding experience
