Responsibilities*
- Provide financial analysis and business support to the Senior Director of Nursing Finance and Business Operations and the Department of Nursing
- Participate in strategic planning activities and manage long range and special projects
- Job responsibilities include extracting and analyzing data from a number of data sources to include financial, clinical, as well as benchmarking
- Assist with departmental forecasting, variance analysis and performance metrics
- Provide assistance with the implementation and monitoring of financial performance
- Provide financial and business process expertise to the Nursing Directors and Administrators
Required Qualifications*
- Bachelor's degree in science or business, or related field
- Experience in Microsoft Office suite, especially with MS Excel
- Ability to set priorities; handle multiple assignments and deadlines and to display excellent judgment
- Experience in financial analysis and creating journal entries
Desired Qualifications*
- Experience in business or financial areas of a health care system, with demonstrated financial analytical skills
- 3+ years of related experience
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse, interdisciplinary teams
- Excellent verbal and communication skills
- Experience working with Michigan Medicine financial and business systems, including M-Pathways, Finance Business Intelligence (BI), Hyperion/SmartView and Tableau
- Demonstrated understanding of Michigan Medicine policies and procedures
Work Schedule
Hours: 40 hours/week
This position will be Hybrid.
Onsite work is required based on the customer needs and in-person meetings.

Background Screening
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
