Job Summary

Directly support NIWC Atlantic Regional Shore Installation Managers (RSIM) in the day-to-day responsibilities of overseeing all aspects of the NIWC Shore Installation and Fleet Readiness Certification Board (FRCB) processes. Work with RSIMs to ensure required deliverables for shore installations are developed, utilized and stored in the NIWC Enterprise Technical Data Repository (SPIDER) and the NIWC Atlantic Installation Management Database (MODTracker).

Effective communicator with strong organizational skills and ability to multitask is a must.

Responsibilities and Duties

Shore Installation Analyst will use NIWC MODTracker and SPIDER Installation databases, to track installation status for all tasks in the RSIM’s Geographic Area of Responsibility.  Communicate with Project Engineers to insure task status and SITREPs are accurate and up-to-date, review SOVT and installation discrepancies and provide status, prepare and track weekly action reports, prepare and present briefs and take meeting minutes and track action items.  Track status of installation documentation deliverables, and ensure installation documentation deliverables are uploaded to the SPIDER Technical Data Library and ready for RSIM approval.  At the direction of the RSIM, develop draft Weekly Activity Reports (WARs) detailing issues requiring upper management attention, status of ashore installations in progress and readiness status of future ashore installation.  Provide Project Manager with a brief monthly activity report detailing activities, accomplishments, and issues. Participates in various meetings and IPT TELECON supporting shore installation process and requirements across all C4I systems installation.

Candidates will directly support NIWC LANT RSIM. 
 

Qualifications and Skills

Required knowledge and years of experience

Must have at least ten (10)  years hands-on experience supporting NIWC Atlantic FIR or supporting NIWC Shore Installations. Must have a strong background with NAVWAR shore installations process and FRCB standards and requirements. Competent with Microsoft Windows operating systems, and Microsoft Office applications. Expert with the SPAWAR SPIDER Installation and MODTracker Installation Databases. Familiar with the NIWC Shore Installation Process Handbook (SIPH).
 

Education Requirements

High School Diploma. Navy Background preferred.
