EMPLOYER: 7-Eleven, Inc.
JOB TITLE: Senior Software Engineer
LOCATION: Irving, TX
DUTIES: Responsible for software development including designing and developing scalable micro services to utilize Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud environment. Work with the team to gather and understand requirements, provide technical analysis and design. Validate and identify technical gaps for each capability in the application and review them with the business. Provide estimation and delivery plan for deliverables. Participate in Scrum planning and Agile process. Work with DevOps and Jenkins build pipelines. Develop and unit test store support applications to manage store operations using the latest technologies such as AWS services, Node JS, ReactJS, Mongo DB, GIT or JIRA. Work on backend process to process data using RESTful services. Work on Mongo queries to retrieve and store the data from the database. Responsible for integrating different products or services provided by third party products. Implement code security using Payment Card Industry (PCI) data security standards. Perform code review meetings to ensure maintenance of coding standards. Responsible for JavaScript, Restful API services and SQL.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, and 5 years of progressive, postbaccalaureate experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer, Software Team Lead, or in a related/similar position. Experience therein to include 5 years performing software development including designing and developing scalable micro services to utilize Amazon Web Services cloud environment; using AWS services; Node JS; JavaScript; Restful API services and SQL.
