Job Summary
A research technician is wanted for a project in a basic science laboratory specializing in research in immunodermatology. The position will entail laboratory bench work to study basic molecular and cellular biology.
Responsibilities*
Perform routine molecular and cellular biology experimental procedures under the supervision research staff. These experimental procedures include but are not limited to processing of human skin samples for single-cell RNA-sequencing, isolation of peripheral blood mononuclear cells from whole human blood, cryosectioning, DNA/RNA/protein extraction, microscopy, cell culture, and any other experimental protocols needed to move the project forward. Maintain thorough experimental records and protocols. Perform simple data analysis.
Required Qualifications*
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a science-related field.
- 3 or more years of lab experience.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work in a team environment are essential.
- Lab experience in molecular and cell biology techniques including human cells and tissue processing, tissue sectioning, DNA/RNA isolation, microscopy.
Desired Qualifications*
- Experience in mouse work.
