Summary
This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing, within the Product Management Division. As a Program Manager (Currency Product Manager), you will fill a roll comparable to that of a Program Manager with overall responsibility for all tasks and activities associated with a denomination (product). For new products, you will lead all phases of BEP's Banknote Development Process (BDP) ensuring the denomination meets requirements.
Duties
As a Program Manager (Currency Product Manager), you will:
- Lead the development of the overall Currency Lifecycle Management Plan having overall cost and schedule responsibility.
- Lead matrix management-type teams composed of personnel from various BEP offices in pursuit of program and project objectives.
- Work closely with the Project manager and ensure the development of detailed technical test plans and reports, and/or specifications to evaluate designs and features of proposed BEP products. and ensure test plans, schedules, and evaluation criteria are established and accepted for all testing activities.
- Maintain contact with representatives from the Department of Treasury, the Federal Reserve, the Currency Technology Office, the United States Secret Service, and other government agencies as appropriate, as well as, private industry, contractors, academic institutions, trade unions, and banknote printing companies, both inside and outside of the United States.

For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience includes:
- Experience managing projects, which includes planning and requirements development, execution, resolution of issues, liaison with multiple stakeholders, and communication of results.
- Developing manufactured products from design, through development, testing, and transition into manufacturing; OR
- Planning and execution of verification and validation activities for new/improved products, equipment, systems, or processes with the potential to impact multiple stakeholders; OR
- Working on a project through a complete, stage-gated development process; OR
- Leading a program of multiple product improvement or testing activities.
