Responsibilities*
- Provides coverage for Activity Therapy staff on the Adult/Child & Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatric and Partial Hospitalization Program Psychiatric Programs.
- Works with patients with a variety of psychiatric disorders and will perform comprehensive patient evaluations based on specific clinical pathways of care.
- Provides group and 1:1 treatment interventions for patients based on assessed level of functioning in work, self-care and leisure.
- Communicates patients' symptoms and progress to team members either through direct or written communication.
- Provides patient, family and team members with discharge recommendations to optimize successful level of function post discharge.
- Provides indicated treatments based on clinical rationale.
- Processes patients' orders and documents patients' sessions using electronic charting system.
Required Qualifications*
- Bachelor's Degree, Master of Science or Doctor of Occupational Therapy
- Current Michigan Licensed and certification with NBCOT
- Experience working in an Acute Care Adult Psychiatric Treatment Setting

Background Screening
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.
