Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Manager Project Management 1 to lead and manage all aspects of office and administrative operations, support the Program Senior Director and his staff in the Machinery Operating Unit (OU) and provide additional support to the broader OU in Sunnyvale, CA, while reporting to the Senior Director's Chief of Staff. The Manager of Project Management will serve as the primary liaison between external and internal customers, ensuring the seamless integration of the Machinery Operating Unit (OU) with other departments. This role will require excellent leadership skills, communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple dynamic portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:
• Interface with internal and external customers, screening calls, messages, and meeting requests; understanding department priorities, and preparing correspondence.
• Become a subject matter expert, and learn how to navigate the many systems and procedures within the Sunnyvale site, and Northrop Grumman Corporation as a whole.
• Coordinate business meetings, both internal as well as for Customers and VIPs. This includes coordinating agendas, arranging visitor badging, receiving visitors, setting up conference calls and VTC, ordering and setting up food for the attendees and post visit clean-up.
• Help manage team files and reports, with the ability to properly label, file and transfer data between networks.
• Arrange, maintain, and modify the director's schedule and associated departmental activities.
• Assist the director with making travel arrangements and submitting expense reports becoming proficient with the Northrop Grumman travel system (Concur).
• Handle confidential business matters and maintain effective and efficient organization of administrative requirements.
• Provide some administrative support for programs that report to the Director, including his Program Directors and Chief of Staff, and other site Administrative Assistants.
• Use Microsoft Office to produce high quality reports, presentations, or other documents.
• Follow-up on actions on behalf of the director and perform other tasks as directed by the director.
Strategic Leadership:
• Develop strategies to grow new business or expand the integration of the Machinery OU across other departments within the site.
• Establish milestones, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to master plans and schedules.
• Identify and address potential problems within the OU, allocating resources or adjusting internal direction, as necessary.
• Oversee the work of employees assigned to the program in various administrative capacities, ensuring smooth operations and alignment with company objectives.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree and 5 years OR a Master's degree and 3 years of relevant experience is required. 9+ years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
• 5+ years of experience in administrative or operational management, preferably in a construction or Defense Contractor environment.
• Proven ability to manage complex administrative tasks across multiple product lines
• Strong leadership and team management skills with a track record of successful project execution.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams. This position offers a unique opportunity to drive operational excellence and foster collaboration across teams, making a significant impact on the success of the Machinery OU.
• Extreme proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense secret clearance is required.
• U.S. citizenship required.
Salary Range: $107,300 - $160,900
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
