As a Materials/Logistics Specialist, you'll play a vital role in international logistics and operations that support large-scale, first-of-a-kind automation projects, ensuring timely and compliant delivery of equipment and spare parts.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with Project Managers, Supply Chain, and Service teams to guarantee efficient shipment coordination and tracking. Your work directly contributes to project execution and customer satisfaction.
As a Materials/Logistics Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating and processing all international shipments, including both air and ground transportation. You will ensure the accurate and timely completion of all required shipping documentation such as commercial invoices, packing slips, shipper’s letter of instruction (SLI), and Automated Export System (AES) filings. This role includes managing the logistics of specialized equipment—such as gang boxes, calibration kits, and laser trackers—to and from project and customer sites. You will work closely with Project Managers, Supply Chain, and Service teams to align shipment schedules with project timelines and requirements. Additionally, you will interface with freight forwarders and customs brokers to ensure compliance and timely delivery, troubleshoot AES fatal errors, and uphold regulatory standards. The position also involves accurately receiving and documenting incoming materials using Jobscope, resolving discrepancies with Supply Chain, supporting shop operations including kitting and processing inspection components, fulfilling backorders, and handling spare part shipments while maintaining precise inventory control.

Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in international logistics and shipping within a manufacturing or materials control environment.
- Extensive knowledge of global shipping documentation, compliance, and procedures.
- Certified and safe operation of material handling equipment (forklifts, hoists, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related technical field.
- 3–5 years' experience in a project support or leadership role within a technical, engineering-driven organization.
- Familiarity with material handling equipment (e.g., cranes, manipulators) and custom-engineered systems.
- Experience in highly regulated industries (nuclear, aerospace, defense) and knowledge of NQA-1 standards is a plus.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Project and project life cycle support.
- Project Management certification.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in fast-paced environments.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (Jobscope preferred) and freight coordination.
