Full Job Description
Responsible for supporting elements of the Company’s Tax Accounting processes and procedures including timely and accurate preparation and reporting of financial information in accordance with GAAP and internal policies. Assist in driving process improvement opportunities in the tax function to enhance processes, efficiency, accuracy, and controls. Interact with personnel in varying disciplines of the enterprise including, FP&A, Accounting, Treasury, Finance as well as other Tax professionals.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly and quarterly income tax provision according to ASC 740, including related tax footnote disclosures and supporting analytics.
- Maintain Company’s deferred tax, uncertain tax position, and tax payable/receivable account balances.
- Prepare supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
- Assist FP&A with forecasting the Company’s effective tax rate, including the impact of tax planning matters and other business transactions.
- Maintain and improve tax provision processes and SOX controls.
- Support other areas of tax as needed, including assisting Federal and State tax return preparation.
- Prepare management reports and present results to Senior Management.
- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the Company.

The actual salary an employee can expect to receive, plus bonus pursuant to the terms of any bonus plan if applicable, will depend on experience, seniority, geographic location, and other factors permitted by law. - BA/BS and at least 2 years of experience Public Accounting, Corporate Tax and/or Accounting at a firm, State Department of Revenue or company OR High School/ GED and at least 4 years of experience Public Accounting, Corporate Tax and/or Accounting at a firm, State Department of Revenue or company
- At least 2 years experience years’ experience with technical tax laws, regulations and interpreting tax laws.
- At least 2 years’ experience with analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.
- Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: inserting headers, page breaks, page numbers and tables and/or adjusting table columns).
- Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using SUM function, setting borders, setting column width, inserting charts, using text wrap, sorting, setting headers and footers and/or print scaling).
- Intermediate level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: applying a theme, formatting character spacing, inserting a picture, changing slide layout and theme colors, adding transitions, customizing slide numbers, changing chart style and/or formatting font).
- Willing to travel up to/at least 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or Economics.
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years’ experience with public accounting, corporate tax and/or accounting at a firm, State department of revenue or company OR a high school diploma/GED and at least 6 years of experience with public accounting, corporate tax and/or accounting at a firm, State department of revenue or company.
- Experience with project management (for example: planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives).
