About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Risk Analytics Consultant to join the Consumer Data Management team within the Credit Risk Intelligence & Transformation (CRIT) group - a unit within Corporate Credit Risk.

Credit Risk Intelligence & Transformation is responsible for aggregating credit risk exposure across the company to aid in many use cases including – Regulatory Reporting, Management Reporting, and analytics.

The Data Management group within CRIT is seeking to add an experienced, highly motivated credit risk professional to its Consumer Workstream Team. This individual will assist in building a new platform that will provide consolidated data to support use cases across Credit Risk. Additionally, provide overall support for CRIT Consumer data platforms as well as the user community.

This individual will be responsible for a wide variety of job functions that require a diverse skill set. In addition, this individual will have exposure to numerous team members throughout the company, therefore the ability to create strategic partnerships will be important.


In this role, you will:

  • Leverage analytical tools (TM1, SQL, etc…) to profile and analyze data.
  • Solve problems using data and business knowledge.
  • Analyze the impact of changes to the underlying data or business strategy.
  • Use Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) principles to create data mapping, test, and approve development of the new Credit Risk platform.
  • Document and work on enhancement of business processes and controls that are impactful to managing the accuracy of our data.
  • Aid in defining scope, data model feedback, and supporting the overall program.
  • Review work of others and provide value-added feedback.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, less experienced to more experienced managers, to resolve production, project, and other issues.
  • Lead projects, teams, and mentor.


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.


Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong technical/data skills, including strong SQL skills and familiarity working with large relational databases.
  • Proficiency using software such as Dremio, Python, and/or SAS highly preferable.
  • Experience with consumer lending and data environments.
  • Experience with Agile and SDLC work environments.
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to research, report on, and resolve a variety of issues using problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access) skills.
  • Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment by establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all levels of the organization.

U.S. Only – Pay Range:

Minneapolis, Minnesota - Pay Range: $111,100 - $197,500 USD annual
