The Data Visualization Analyst will serve a key role in designing, maintaining, and implementing Tableau dashboards within Truist. This role will work closely with the technology delivery group and other cross-functional groups within Truist. The Analyst must be able to communicate and provide demos of these applications and dashboards to wider groups within Truist and at the enterprise level. Success in the position requires strong, clear communication skills, an understanding of the application's current design, and a clear understanding of Tableau and the visualization framework.***This position is office-centric and requires 4 days/week in-office***
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Gathers, reviews, analyzes, profiles, validates and maps system data into the data warehouse to meet reporting and analytical business needs.
2. Performs data analysis and troubleshooting on data-related issues reported by production support and other teams.
3. Develops solutions and recommendations for improving data integrity issues. Analyzes data issues and works with development teams for problem resolutions. Identifies problematic areas and conducts research to determine the best course of action to correct the data, identify, analyze and interpret trends and patterns in complex datasets.
4. Determines and analyzes line of business requirements, use system data, and provide input needed by various departments and senior management to produce business reports.
5. Works with extract, transform and load (ETL) developers to test and validate data attributes and with other business analysts to ensure data is integrated consistently, regardless of the source system.
6. Works with business analysts and project teams to provide accurate documentation of data related project and support deliverables. And with source system business analysts to understand system nuances and resolve data issues. Takes ownership of issues through resolution including close coordination between business analysts.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in information technology, information systems, computer science or business-related field, six years of experience in a role of data analysis, statistical analysis, data transformation, data reconciliation and/or sophisticated data presentation or equivalent education and related training or experience
2. Experience in ETL Development using standard tools
3. Understanding of Enterprise Data Warehouse concepts and prior experience applying that understanding to query data in a Very Large Database (VLDB) environment
4. Familiarity in using a query analysis tool
Preferred Qualifications:
Required Experience:
• Must have hands-on experience with Tableau and dashboard/metrics design and development.
• Must have hands-on experience handling large amounts of data and turning that into meaningful metrics and dashboards.
• Must have hands-on experience with heavy and complex ETL processes.
• Hands-on experience in transforming raw/flat data from System of Record (SOR) and using it via Tableau to generate dashboards.
• Must have hands-on experience manipulating large data sets and creating custom data models within Tableau or outside the visualization tools.
• Must have strong communication skills by working with technology delivery team leads to gather dashboard requirements.
• Must be able to thrive and work within a manual environment of a data analytics framework.
• Working knowledge of Rally agile tool
• Working knowledge of Agile framework and performance metrics
• Working knowledge of Alteryx ETL tool
• Tableau or data Analytics certification is a big plus
Required Skills:
Bachelor's Degree and at least three years of experience or equivalent
• 3-5 years of experience and a degree in a technical field or an equivalent combination of experience and education
• Hands-on experience with Tableau and dashboard design and development
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools and managing large data sets.
• Must be able to tell the story of various dashboards to technical and non-technical audiences
• Able to work in a manual data analytics environment.
• Experience in generating performance and financial visualizations based on data tools within the organization.
• Ability to communicate complex technical ideas, regardless of the technical capacity of the audience.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking
