Internship Program Highlights
Paid internship for youth ages 14-18
10 week long internship period
Work up to 16 hours/week at $15/hour; wages are paid every two weeks

Must be currently enrolled in high school, post-secondary education, or a GED/HiSET/Alternative Education program
POSITION SUMMARY:
Berklee’s Cultural Arts Education Administration Internship is an exciting, hands-on opportunity to develop the critical skills necessary to be successful in today’s workforce while learning about the management and operations of a higher education institution in the professional arts. Interns at Berklee will engage in paid, experiential learning cultural arts education administration while gaining experience in operations, marketing, communications, community arts project management, production, research, and fundraising.
By working in multiple departments across the institution – including but not limited to Admissions Recruitment, Communications and Marketing, and Education Outreach and Social Entrepreneurship – interns will draw upon their creativity and critical thinking skills and will develop and strengthen skill sets they can parlay into any industry or future experience, including adaptability, accountability, initiative, self-direction, and cross-cultural interaction. Responsibilities may include day-to-day administrative tasks, helping with the operation and promotion of Berklee’s programs, creating social media content, assisting in the operations of special productions and events, providing prospective student and family support, and supporting special research projects.
Ideally, this internship suits those interested in pursuing a career in arts administration, higher education, and/or the nonprofit sector. This in-person position is on Berklee’s campus, located in the Back Bay neighborhood of Boston.
Interns will be expected to work the hours of 10:00 am - 3:00 pm Monday - Thursday, for a total of 16 hours/week at the rate of $15.00/hr (including 1 hour/day unpaid for lunch and breaks), though weekly schedules may vary. Some evening and weekend support for events, productions, and auditions may be desired. The internship will run from Monday, June 23, 2025 - Thursday, August 28, 2025, with the exception of the following dates (dates may change):
Friday, July 4 - Independence Day
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administrative support
Operations management
Program and project management
Development of social media content
Support with special productions and events
Providing prospective student and family support
Supporting special research projects
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Must be a Boston-resident teen aged 14-18
Must be currently enrolled in high school, post-secondary education, or a GED/HiSET/Alternative Education program
Strong communication and soft skills
Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail
Computer literacy (specifically Mac OS, Microsoft Suite, and spreadsheet management)
Strong sense of initiative and ability to work as a member of a team and is respectful
Demonstrates responsibility and is on time for work and with deadlines
