We do this while minimizing operational and financial impact.ABOUT THE ROLEThe Analytics Platform Architect manages the design and optimization of Cupertino Electric's data analytics platform. This role combines expertise in Databricks administration, data engineering, and BI development. It creates a scalable analytics environment using the medallion architecture pattern. The position provides leadership for data ingestion, transformation, and visualization strategies. It ensures proper governance through Unity Catalog.

Databricks Environment Management: Administer and optimize Databricks workspace configurations, Manage compute resources and cluster policies, Implement and maintain Unity Catalog for data governance, Configure and maintain security policies and access controls, Monitor platform performance and costs
Data Architecture: Design and implement medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers), Establish data modeling standards and best practices, Create and maintain technical documentation, Define data quality rules and validation processes, Implement data lifecycle management strategies
Data Integration & Pipeline Development:

Azure Data Factory (ADF): Design and implement data ingestion patterns, Create and maintain ADF pipelines, Establish monitoring and alerting, Optimize pipeline performance, Implement error handling and recovery procedure

Data Processing: Develop and maintain Delta Lake tables, Implement merge patterns and SCD handling, Create efficient transformation logic, Establish data quality checks, Design incremental processing patterns
Analytics & Visualization:
- Power BI Development: Lead the development of enterprise dashboards, Establish Power BI development standards, Implement row-level security, Create and maintain semantic models, Optimize report performance
Technical Leadership: Mentor data engineers and analysts, Establish coding standards and best practices, Review technical designs and implementations, Drive adoption of modern data practices, Partner with enterprise architecture team

Knowledge: Having broad expertise or unique knowledge, uses skills to contribute to development of company objectives and principles and to achieve goals in creative and effective ways.
